Hawker Hunter F.6A (G-KAXF / N-294) from the Dutch Hawker Hunter Foundation (DHHF)
at the Royal Netherlands Air Force Open Days 2019, Volkel (the Netherlands)

The Dutch Hawker Hunter Foundation (DHHF) was established in 2005 by a group of military aircraft enthusiasts with as its goal the operation and conservation of a Hawker Hunter ex-military jet, both as a tribute to a great classic fighter aircraft and as a memento to the history of the Dutch airforce squadrons who flew the Hunter in great numbers during the fifties and sixties of last century. The two Hawker Hunters G-BWGL and the G-KAXF which the Dutch Hawker Hunter Foundation has purchased, are equipped with authentic Dutch colours and with the registration number "N-321" and "N-294". Both are stationed at Leeuwarden Air Base; former homebase of 3 Hawker Hunter squadrons.

Each year the Netherlands armed forces services organises open days on a rotational basis. Open days are intended to show how the Netherlands Defence organisation works for peace and security throughout the world. On these days everyone is welcome to have a look behind the scenes.
The 2019 Royal Netherlands Air Force Open Days took place at Volkel Air Base, home to 312 and 313 F-16 Fighting Falcon squadrons.
