Lockheed Martin (TUSAS) F-16C Fighting Falcon (88-0032) from the Turkish Air Force "Solo Türk" at the RIAT 2016, RAF Fairford (United Kingdom)
Solo Turk is a demonstration team which presents the capability of the modern and high-performance F-16 aircraft possessed by Turkish Air Force and the high level of skill and knowledge necessary for its use to the audience as a show. The demonstration flights are realized with a solo Lockheed Martin (TUSAS) F-16C Block-40 aircraft. White-coloured smoke is released from the smoke devices which are placed on the edges of both wings during the show. No modifications have been made on the aircraft; it can be planned for any mission. Besides the demonstration flights, the Solo Turk pilots continue their combat training.
The Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) is the world's largest military air show, held annually over the third weekend in July,
usually at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, England in support of The Royal Air Force Charitable Trust.
The show typically attracts a total of 150.000 to 160.000 spectators over the weekend.
