Eurofighter EF-2000 Typhoon FGR4 (ZK329 / FH) from the Royal Air Force at the RIAT 2016, RAF Fairford (United Kingdom)

The Typhoon replaced the RAF's Tornado F3 (fighter) and Jaguar (ground attack) forces. They will equip five front-line squadrons, one front-line flight and one reserve squadrons, the Operational Conversion Unit (OCU). The single-seat Block 5 or later aircraft (built or upgraded from F2) are known as Typhoon FGR4s. The new mark number represents the increased capabilities of the Block 5 aircraft (Fighter / Ground attack / Reconnaissance). The FGR4 has from June 2008 achieved the required standard for multi-role operations.

The Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) is the world's largest military air show, held annually over the third weekend in July,
usually at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, England in support of The Royal Air Force Charitable Trust.
The show typically attracts a total of 150.000 to 160.000 spectators over the weekend.
