The aircraft was designed and built by Gulfstream Aerospace, a General Dynamics company based in Savannah, Georgia, United States from 1985 until 2003. Powered by two Rolls-Royce RB.183 Tay turbofans. The C-20H is a GIV-SP model operated by the United States Air Force in a command/executive transport role.
The United States Department of Defense C-20A/B/C/D/E aircraft are all Gulfstream III, were the C-20F/G/H/J are Gulfstream IV variants.
