Sumatran Orang-Utan at Zoo Leipzig, also known as "Leipzig Zoological Garden" (Germany)

The Sumatran Orang-Utan (also spelt Orangutan, Orangutang, or Orang-Utang) is one of the two species of orangutans.
Found only on the island of Sumatra, in Indonesia, it is rarer than the Bornean Orangutan. Compared to the Bornean species,
Sumatran Orangutans are thinner and have longer faces; their hair is longer with a paler red colour. Orangutans are among the most intelligent primates; they use a variety of sophisticated tools and construct elaborate sleeping nests each night from branches and foliage.
The apes have been extensively studied for their learning abilities.
