Important "Kriegerdenkmal" (War Memorial) at the Hauptplatz (main square) of St. Johann in Tirol (Austria)
Build in 1923, this War Memorial was designed by the sculptor Karl Mühlegger and erected in the memory of the fallen soldiers from St. Johann in Tirol in the First World War (also know as the Great War from 1914 to 1918). Work on the monument was carried out by Andreas Hinterholzer. During the restoration in the early 90s, the names of the victims from St. Johann in Tirol during the Second World War (from 1939 to 1945)
were added to the monument.
