View from Donauturn (Danube Tower) to Millennium Tower and Kahlenberg - Wienerwald (Vienna Woods).
The Millennium Tower with a height of 171 metres (561 feet) was designed by the architects Gustav Peichl, Boris Podrecca and Rudolf Weber.
The tower has 51 floors, serves both commercial and residential purposes, and is the focal point of a complex known as "Millennium City".
It was completed in 1999 for the coming of the third millennium.
Kahlenberg is 484 meters high and lies in the north-eastern foothills of the Eastern Alps, next to the Leopoldsberg.
On the top there is a 165-meter high steel tower that serves as the transmitter for the ORF, the Austrian Broadcast Corporation.
