Johann, a male Malaysian tiger, has been living at Prague Zoo since 2014. This tiger subspecies was first recognized in 2004 and there are only about 250 of them still living in the wild. You can find him at Prague Zoo in the Felines and Reptiles Pavilion.
Prague Zoological Garden or Prague Zoo (Zoo Praha) is a zoo in Prague, Czech Republic.
It was opened in 1931 with the goal to "advance the study of zoology, protect wildlife, and educate the public" in the district of Troja in the north of Prague. In 2013, the zoo occupied 58 hectares (140 acres) with 45 hectares (110 acres) in use for exhibits, and housed around 4200 animals from just under 650 species, including 132 species listed as threatened.
