SAF (Slovakia) - Antonov An-26 (3208)2 viewsFirst seen in 1969, the Antonov An-26 "Curl" was the standard short-range Soviet tactical transport during the latter half of the Cold War. Developed from the previous An-24 design, it was first Soviet military transport aircraft to have a fully pressurised cargo hold. Production ended in 1985 after about 1.410 An-26s had been built, most of them for military operators. The type remains in widespread use. (0 votes)

SAF (Slovakia) - Antonov An-26 (3208)1 viewsInitially known as An-24T, An-26 was equipped with two Ivchenko AI-24T turboprops and the rear fuselage was fully redesigned so that a large-size hatch could be installed. Used initially as a cargo plane with air dropping capabilities, it can be easily adapted for transporting passengers, medical evacuation or paratroopers. (0 votes)
